Abstract

Ngargoyoso District has potential natural resources, has several tourism objects in Ngargoyoso District, among others, Tea Garden Tourism, Jumog Waterfall Tour, Dorodongker Tourism and adrenaline-pumping tourism, namely River Tubing Tour. Nowadays there are not a few tourists who are interested in visiting River Tubing Tourism, because of this, river tubing tourism has the potential to be developed. The development of river tubing tourism objects will certainly have an impact on the surrounding community in terms of improving the economy. Therefore, the development of river tubing tourism is very useful for inventory and analysis of the potential for river tubing tourism in Ngargoyoso District, Karanganyar Regency in 2020, the objectives of this study are: [1] to analyze the potential of the Segorogunung River and its surroundings to support the development of river tourism. Tubing, and [2] analyzing the efforts made by the manager to exploit the potential of the Segorogunung River. The method used in this research is the SWOT analysis method. This analysis aims to find an opportunity or obstacle even to the potentials and weaknesses of a particular business or affair. Sampling using purposive sampling method, which aims to take samples with predetermined criteria. After conducting the research, the results obtained include: (1) River Tubing Tourism Potential in the Segorogunung River, explaining the internal and external potential of the Segorogunung River, (2) Efforts to Manage Tourism Objects, (3) SWOT analysis is a tool used or presents data from the results of an assessment of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of company resources.
