Abstract

Every day, confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Indonesia have increased, which is dominated by productive age groups, one of which is students who have a dynamic lifestyle and a high level of socialization. If left untreated, it will lead to more confirmed cases of COVID-19. Therefore, early detection of COVID-19 is the first step to overcome this problem. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of early detection of COVID-19 through online media for nursing students. The method used in this research is descriptive with electronic survey techniques in the form of google form. The sample used was 102 respondents. The study was conducted in November - December 2020 on nursing students at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. The results of the research obtained by most of the respondents were female as many as 82 respondents with the highest age range of 20-22 as many as 57 respondents and the nursing student strata showed the highest distribution in the 3rd-semester students as many as 28 respondents, most of the early detection of COVID-19 through online media as many as 87 respondents were not effective. The conclusion of the study is that the description of the effectiveness of early detection of COVID-19 through online media is not effective.
