Abstract
The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of transformational leadership styles in terms of: 1) application of the idealized influence dimension, 2) application of the dimension of inspirational motivation, 3) application of the dimension of intellectual stimulation, 4) application of the dimensions of individualized consideration by the principal in leading SDIT Muhammadiyah Al - Kautsar. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach design. The results showed that: 1) The principal applies the idealized influence dimension shown by the integrity of managing the vision and mission, exemplary in carrying out tasks and the ability to solve problems, 2) The principal applies the dimension of inspirational motivation shown by the ability to become subordinate inspiration and the ability to provide motivation subordinates, 3) The principal applies the intellectual stimulation dimension shown by the ability to apply collective leadership and the ability to provide real action that triggers the emergence of new ideas or ideas in solving problems through the empowerment of subordinates, 4) The principal applies the individualized consideration dimension shown from friendly behavior , mutual trust, mutual respect and a very warm relationship in cooperation between leaders and group members and the ability to pay attention to the needs of subordinates / followers for career development.
