Abstract

Bullying is aggressive behavior that involves various aspects of behavior, whether in the form of physical violence such as slapping, hitting or other violent behavior, or verbal violence such as yelling, cursing, insulting, calling badly, accusing, and so on, as well as psychological, such as humiliating in front of general, cynical, or excluded. Even though the majority of the population is Muslim, the fact is that bullying cases in Indonesia are among the highest in the Asian region and have always experienced an upward trend almost every year. If this happens, it will certainly have serious consequences for victims in the future, both in the short and long term. The victim will feel uncomfortable, depressed, isolated, stressed, or even suicidal. The research entitled "Bullying in the Perspective of Al-Qur`an (Study of Prof. Dr. Hamka's Interpretation in Al-Azhar's Interpretation of Q.S Al-Hujurat: 11)" will focus on how Prof. Dr. Hamka in Al-Azhar's Interpretation of Surah Al-Hujurat Verse: 11 and what kind of benefit values are recommended by the Qur'an through the prohibition of bullying. The type of research is library research, with an interpretive descriptive approach. Data analysis by analyzing the contents of the Al-Azhar Tafsir in Surah Al-Hujurat verse 11. The conclusion that can be drawn is lafadz (يَسْخَر) yaskhar means bullying or ridicule, namely calling the shortcomings of others by mocking, insulting, demeaning either with words or deeds and the like. Among the values of benefit, the prohibition of bullying in this verse is specifically for Muslims, both men and women. Among the forms of bullying that often occur is by calling or giving certain laqob-laqob to someone based on their habits and temperament or physical condition from birth that that person does not like or even hates. Among the values contained in the benefit are the prohibition of bullying, the prohibition on being arrogant, special advice for women, the prohibition on self-deprecation, the prohibition on giving bad titles or nicknames, the recommendation to always introspect yourself (perpetrators / victims) and solutions for bullies. Indeed, Islam is very safeguarding and protecting the honor of fellow humans without exception. Islam teaches to always be tawadhu and humble towards anyone regardless of appearance, position, race, ethnicity, social status and the like.
