Abstract
Water is a potential alternative energy source for humans. The benefits of water include industry, household, agriculture and other environmental activities. Micro Hydro Power Plant (PLTMH) certainly really needs water energy as its main material. Even though the source of electrical energy is quite large in Indonesia, it is not possible to fully enjoy it in rural areas, many of which we often encounter along rural roads, especially in rice fields, there is very little lighting. Utilization of water as irrigation, of course, we can also use as a small scale hydropower plant, by utilizing the existing water flow we can make small-scale power plants that adjust the amount of water flow for rice fields irrigation. Therefore, the results of research on making Ultra Small Water Power Generator tools as small-scale power plants for street lighting in rice fields can be useful in the community. This tool has the same principles as the Hydroelectric Power Plant (PLTA), namely by using water as the main driving force of the turbine which then turns the generator on. The turbine used is a spiral turbine with a 3-phase permanent magnet servo generator. From the test results, it was found that the time needed for a 12Vdc battery charger, 7.2Ah on average per 5 minutes, that is, there is an additional voltage of 0.209 Vdc, while for charging the battery from condition 0 to a full battery it takes 5 hours 14 minutes. With a lamp load of 7 watts, a current of 0.27 A and an LED sensor with a current of 0.11, a battery voltage of 12.9 Vdc, the battery can be used for 20 hours. From this result, the lamp can be used as street lighting in the rice fields at night. Keywords : Ultra Small Water, Generator, Microhydro.
