Abstract

Laweyan is a district located west of the city of Surakarta. There are six objects of cultural heritage in the area of Kampung Laweyan, namely Langgar Laweyan, Langgar Merdeka, Langgar Makmur, Makam of Ki Ageng Henis, Bekas Pasar Laweyan, and Bekas Bandar Kabanaran. Currently, tourists only know Kampung Laweyan with its batik, the lack of awareness has resulted in less developed potential and less knowledge of tourists. The type of research that will be carried out is qualitative research by conducting observations, interviews, and documentation studies. The approach used is purposive in which the informants are not taken randomly. The purpose of this research is to find out what potential can be developed and to find out strategies for developing halal tourism in Kampung Laweyan. The method used is a SWOT analysis by looking at the IMTI (Indonesia Muslim Travel Index) indicator.
