Abstract

The elderly are prone to various diseases due to decreased ability to function in the body, causing the emergence of various diseases, one of which is cardiovascular disease which is one of the health problems with a high risk of occurring in Indonesia that attacks adults to the elderly that can cause disability or morbiltas until even death or mortality of one of the cardiovascular diseases, hypertension that has prevaence in Indonesia in 2013 is 27.8% of the number of people who died in 2018 to 34.1% who suffer from hypertension (Riskesdas, 2018). so it takes special attention to deal with cardiovascular diseases, one of which is hypertension. To find out the effect of brisk walking exercises on blood pressure reduction in the elderly, factors related to increased blood pressure and how brisk walking exercises relate to decreased blood pressure. This type of research uses single case study by using statistical data analysis of description using graphs. The ABA graph shows the effect of aerobic exercise on blood pressure reduction, which is shown in a graph showing a decrease in blood pressure after two weeks of brisk walking.
