Abstract

This study aims to measure the performance of Indonesia's current account balance and the factors that influence it during the period 1987-2019. This research is a quantitative research with a descriptive design. Time series regression analysis is used as a research analysis tool with Ordinary Least Square (OLS). The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of exchange rates, foreign direct investment, world crude oil prices, world palm oil prices, and domestic consumption expenditures on Indonesia's current account balance. The estimation results show that the price of palm oil and the exchange rate have a positive and significant effect on Indonesia's current account balance. And domestic consumption expenditure and foreign direct investment have a negative and significant effect on Indonesia's current account balance. Then the price of crude oil has no significant positive effect on Indonesia's current account balance.
