Abstract
ABSTRACT Food security, both surplus and deficit in Ngawi Regency, has experienced changes due to the influence of several factors that have become an assessment of the level of food security. Food security in Ngawi Regency is threatened because the poverty rate continues to increase every year and the people's food needs are increasing. The purpose of this research is to determine the distribution of food security levels in Ngawi Regency in 2019 and to explain the dominant factors that can affect the level of food security in food insecurity which refers to the basic indicators of FSVA (Food Security And Vulnerability Atlas) food security in 2018 equivalent to the district level. In this research method has used secondary data analysis methods. The secondary data analysis method is obtained through data from government agencies which will be processed using 9 FSVA food security indicators in 2018 to obtain food security composite values that are used to compile food security and insecurity maps. The results of this study indicate that Ngawi Regency is in the category of food resistant district with priority 5 and the food security index value is 74.86. The distribution of food security categories in 19 sub-districts includes 10 sub-districts included in priority 5, namely sub-districts with food resistant categories that have a food security index range between 67.84 to 75.32 and are spread across several Districts, namely Gerih, Pangkur, Bringin, Kedunggalar, Karanganyar, Ngrambe, Kwadungan, Karangjati, Padas, and Mantingan. 9 sub-districts are included in priority 6, namely highly food resistant with a food security index ranging from 76.80 to 81.90. The distribution in sub-districts regarding food security includes Sine, Jogorogo, Kendal, Geneng, Kasreman, Ngawi, Paron, Pitu and Widodaren Districts. The results of the two studies show that the dominant factors affecting the level of food security and insecurity using multiple linear regression coefficient analysis are the percentage of the population who are below the poverty line and the percentage of the population who do not have access to clean water. The result of the percentage of the population who do not have clean water is an indicator that has an effect because it has a significant value of 0.002 and the percentage of the population below the poverty line is the second most influential because it has a significant value of 0.004. The lower the significant value of the multiple linear regression coefficient, the more it will affect the level of food security and insecurity in Ngawi Regency in 2019.
