Abstract
This study aims to determine the implementation of classroom management in shaping the disciplinary character of students in elementary schools. The purpose of this research is to 1) describe the classroom management in the "formation" character "discipline" of students in elementary schools 2) describe the obstacles to class management in the formation of "character" discipline "students in elementary schools. 3) describe the classroom management solution in the "formation" of character "discipline" of students in elementary schools. Data collection procedures using descriptive qualitative data. Testing the validity of the data used consistency and persistence. Data analysis was conducted by researchers with content analysis and the research method used in this study was literature review. The research results found by the authors in the literature review in good classroom management are very important in controlling and maintaining learning. That class management in shaping the character of elementary school students uses 1) setting the physical conditions of the class and arranging the students in the class by modifying the behavior of students, taking approaches, making warnings against students. 2) the teacher must provide exemplary behavior and attitudes towards students, so that they are expected to become role models for students to imitate them. 3) shaping the character of discipline through the refraction of school culture and the implementation of 5s (smile, greeting, greeting, courtesy and courtesy). It is very important that good classroom management, combined with good knowledge of students, can also avoid student discipline problems that often arise. Obstacles in the application of discipline in learning in elementary schools are that some teachers do not fully understand classroom management and ignore it, the second factor of the children themselves is about understanding the importance of discipline for themselves. Solutions in overcoming class management barriers in shaping the character of students in elementary schools, 1) refraining from obeying the rules, always conducting guidance, directives to be disciplined in obeying school rules that are always carried out by teachers to students. 2) innovation strategy to optimize classroom management maximally and use habituation, exemplary, spontaneous methods.
