Abstract

Land use change is an event that results in changes in appearance by humans, usually occurs in areas that are developing. The problem that occurs in Purwakarta Subdistrict is the increasing land use change caused by the density of the population dan uneven socio economic facilities. The thesis entitled Changes in Land Use in Purwakarta Subdistrict, Purwakarta Regency in 2009 and 2020 aims to find patterns of land change and the factors that influence it using secondary methods processed using Maxar Technologies imagery from Google Earth then overlaying the 2009 and 2020 land use maps. Then it was found that the factors that influence it are population density and distribution of socio-economic infrastructure, the more densely populated in a village, there is a lot of land change, one of which is change to settlement, and where there are abundant socio-economic facilities there is also population density and there there were also major land changes. This study produced 3 maps, namely a 2009 land use map, a 2020 land use map and a land use change map for 2009 and 2020.
