Abstract
This study aims to improve student achievement through the application of the inquiry learning method. This type of research is a classroom action research (PTK) which is conducted in 2 cycles. The subjects of this study were the students of the study group totaling 10 people. Data collection methods used were observation, tests and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive comparative and qualitative data. The procedure in this study consists of five stages, namely planning the action, implementing the action, observing, concluding the results and reflecting. The results showed an increase in economic learning achievement. This can be seen through the following indicators. In the pre-cycle student learning completeness was 45.7%, whereas after the action cycle I, the increase in student learning achievement increased by 80% and after the action cycle II was carried out the increase in student learning achievement increased by 95%. The conclusion of this study is that the inquiry learning method can improve learning achievement in the study group students in Bangsri Gede Village, Sukoharjo Regency.
