Abstract

This study aims to find out: 1) How the implementation of guidance and counseling to instill discipline characteristics in students in SD Negeri 2 Klari, 2) What are the obstacles in the implementation of guidance and counseling to instill discipline in students in SD Negeri 2 Klari, 3) What is the solution in the implementation of guidance and counseling to instill discipline character in students in Klari Elementary School 2. This type of research is qualitative and the research design is descriptive research. Informants in this study were BK teachers, Principals, Class Teachers and several students. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data in this study uses triangulation, sources and methods. The results of this study indicate that: 1) Every student has different characters from one another, they have characteristics including personality, behavior, and attitude. The task of BK teachers as educators who regulate their behavior should have to have a specific strategy in providing learning materials according to their level, so that in the future students can distinguish between good and bad things to do, 2) Constraints faced by teacher guidance and counseling in instilling the character of discipline students in schools are not yet aware of parents / guardians of students in providing guidance to their children at home or family environment, so that children can not distinguish between good or bad behavior. Lack of collaboration and collaboration in providing guidance to students from the school as BK counselors and families / parents of students. 3) Solution in overcoming the planting of student disciplinary characters, namely the need for intense communication or collaboration between counseling teachers and parents of students in instilling the character of discipline in students
