Abstract
Abstract Teacher performance is the work achieved by the teacher both in quality and quantity within a certain period of time according to the tasks and work given to him. Teacher performance is an illustration of the achievement of goals, vision, and mission of education that have been designed by educational institutions through work programs or strategic designs. Factors affecting performance include individual factors, consisting of abilities and skills (mental and physical), background (family, social level, education, experience) demographic (age, origin, gender); organizational factors, consisting of resources, leadership, rewards; and psychological factors, consisting of perception, attitude, personality, learning, and motivation. This study aims to empirically examine the correlation between work meaning and school climate with performance and performance differences in terms of academic qualifications in Play Group teachers. Sampling is done by simple random sampling method. Data collection is done by scale. The correlation between work meaning and school climate with performance was analyzed by Multiple Linear Regression. The differences performance of teacher in terms of academic qualifications was analyzed by one way ANOVA. The results of the regression analysis showed that work meaning and school climate were significantly related to performance, partial test of work meaningfulness was not related to performance, while school climate was significantly positively related to performance. One way ANOVA analysis results show that there is no difference in the performance of Play Group teachers in terms of academic qualifications. This means that any teacher education does not distinguish teacher performance. The effective contribution of work meaning and school climate to teacher performance was 8.1%. This shows 81.9% of teacher performance is influenced by other factors.
