Abstract

The incidence of dengue fever has increased dramatically around the world in recent decades. Member States in the three WHO regions reported an annual number of cases. The number of reported cases increased from 2.2 million in 2010 to 3.2 million in 2015 and all cases of dengue have recorded a sharp increase in the number of cases reported in recent years. The level of education related to the ability to absorb and receive health information and the ability to develop health. Communities with higher education generally have broader knowledge and insight so that they are easier to absorb and receive information, and can participate and be active in overcoming health problems for themselves and their families. The purpose of this study was to see the relationship between the level of knowledge about PSN DHF and the presence of Aedes aegypty larvae. Sampling using purposive sampling technique with a total of 70 respondents. 35 respondents are heads of families in Blulukan housing and 35 respondents are heads of families in Blulukan Village. The results showed a significant relationship between the level of knowledge of PSN DHF with the presence of larvae p <0.05 (p = 0.011) with sufficient status (r = 0.303). The Mosquito Nest Eradication Program (PSN) must be carried out by all elements, both health workers and the community concerned.
