Abstract

Health is one of the most valuable assets that every human being has. Mental disorders or mental illness are syndromes or patterns of behavior related to the presence of distress symptoms that attack an important function of the human body. Mental disorders can be caused by various factors. Individuals with mental health problems are accommodated in a mental hospital. Wonogiri Regency is one of the districts in Central Java which has quite a lot of people with mental disorders. The number of people with mental disorders in Wonogiri reached 712 people per October 2017, and has increased every year. The making of this thesis aims to answer the problems contained regarding the location, circulation, zoning, and the image of the mental hospital itself. Emphasising on the behavior of mental patients is very important in the design of a mental hospital. For that reason, this mental hospital will be designed with reference to behavioral architecture.
