Abstract

Learning media is an important part of an education system that has a role as a generator of learning motivation, helps improve understanding, presents data attractively, facilitates interpretation and compaction of information for students. Through the use of appropriate media and in accordance with learning needs, the learning objectives will be easily achieved. This study aims to: (1) develop Pop-Up Book media of Indonesian natural conditions as basis knowledge flood disasters for seventh grade in Klaten district, (2) to analyst the expedience level of Pop-Up Book media of Indonesian natural conditions as basis knowledge flood disasters for seventh grade in Klaten district. Type of This research was research and development using the Borg and Gall models. The research instrument was questionnaire. Data analysis techniques were descriptive. Learning media developed by material experts, media experts, teachers and students. The results were: (1) the Pop-Up Book learning media product was develop for the seventh grade IPS subject in the first semester. The material contain in the Pop-Up Book media was the natural condition as basic knowledge of foold disaster. The physical form of the product was 19cm x 14,5 cm in size. Cover materila was hard cover. In the Pop-Up material was art cartoon 320 adn consists of 17 pages, (2) development pop-up book media of indonesia natural condition as basic knowledge of flood disaster for seventh grade in klaten district has met the eligibility based on the assessment of the material expert get score of 4,6 which belongs "very good" category, while based on the assessment of media experts get score of 4,4 which belongs "very good" category. Based on the teacher's response in preliminary field testing get a score of 4,1 which belongs "good" category and in main field testing it get a score of 4,3 which belongs "very good" category, while based on the student response questionnaire in the preliminary field testing get a score of 4,4 which belongs "very good" category and in main field testing it get a score of 4,5 which belongs "very good" category.
