Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of mothers in fostering youth morale in Sari Hamlet, Pringanom Village, Masaran District, Sragen Regency and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors of a mother in developing adolescent morale. This research uses a type of field research (field research) with a phenomenological approach which is located in Dusun Sari, Pringanom Village, Masaran District, Sragen Regency. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis used is using the Miles & Huberman model, which consists of: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that: (1) The condition of the mother's role in fostering children's morale in Sari Hamlet, Pringanom Village, Masaran District, Sragen Regency has been maximal, some has not yet been maximized. This is because the mother's knowledge of moral development is not broad and the mother's education is still low. (2) The supporting factors for moral development that occur in Sari Hamlet, Pringanom Village, Masaran District, Sragen Regency are parents who support their children in learning about Islam by entering them into educational institutions with Islamic nuances, then as parents give rewards for the child when the child has reached the specified target. While the factors that hinder the moral development that occur in Sari Hamlet, Pringanom Village, Masaran District, Sragen Regency are the mothers' lack of knowledge about moral education, the low level of education of a mother, and communication tools (cellphones & laptops) that are used continuously.
