Abstract

Analysis of the availability of public green open space in Klaten City was carried out because it saw the continuing development of both private land and land that had previously functioned as green open space. Analysis of public green open space (RTH) data can used by remote sensing images and geographic information systems. This research used SPOT 7 imagery to detect and digitize public green open spaces in Klaten City. Public green open space in an area must be considered to create a comfortable atmosphere for the society. The public green open space (RTH) in Klaten City has been regulated in the RTRW to achieve a balanced and sustainable development. The purpose of this research was to know distribution and data (area) of public green open space in Klaten City, and analysis to get to know about linkage public green open space and RTRW in Klaten City. The data that used in this research is SPOT 7 Image of Klaten City which has been georeferenced and map of Urban Spatial Plans (RTRW) Klaten City in 2018. The image be used to interpret public green open spaces in Klaten City. Based on the results of digitization, 485 points of public green open space were obtained. These results were calculated using the Slovin formula, 1960 to determine sample points to be checked and 41 sample points were obtained. The sample points were determined to spread across all public green open spaces in the Klaten City area, then field checks were carried out to validate the results of digitization has done. The map of RTRW Klaten City is used as a comparison to the public RTH map that has been produced. The comparison seen that the government's development planning has been in line with the development that has taken place to date. The results of the research can be known that public RTH in Klaten City is located spread throughout Klaten City. With an area of 3574,050 Ha Klaten City had an overall public RTH of 77, 892 Ha or only ± 2.19% of the total area of Klaten City. According to RTRW that has been legalized, the land allocated to public RTH by the government amounted to 227,664 Ha and only used 77, 892 Ha. The remaining land of 149,772 Ha is not in accordance with the RTRW that has been legalized.
