Abstract
According to WHO in 2013, workers worldwide die every 15 seconds due to work accidents and 160 workers experience work-related illness. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is a set of tools that serve as an isolator or protect part or all of the body from potential hazards in the workplace that cause work accidents and occupational diseases. This literature review was carried out with the aim of examining articles related to factors related to the behavior of using personal protective equipment. This research was conducted using a literature review with data sources in the form of five articles / journals obtained from Google Scholar, with the criteria for articles published between 2010–2010, a relationship test was carried out and the research subject was a worker. The results of the analysis of the five articles show that several variables have similarities but there are differences in the results of the relationship test. The variables of tenure, knowledge and attitude are variables analyzed by the five articles. So it can be concluded that the behavior and obedience of using personal protective equipment (PPE) by workers can be influenced by several factors including knowledge, attitudes, social support, availability of PPE and supervision.
