Abstract
Jatisrono Rumpun Muslim Islamic Junior High School is an Islamic-based Junior High School. As an Islamic school, of course it prioritizes religious education, one of which is the cultivation of religious character. Given that many students today have characters that are far from good. Therefore, character building is very necessary in order to create a generation that has good character. Through religious activities, the Rumpun Muslim Jatisrono Islamic Junior High School instills a religious character in its students. From the reasons above, the researcher is interested in researching the inculcation of religious character through religious activities at the Jatisrono Muslim Rumpun Middle School. The purpose of this study was to determine the inculcation of religious character in the Islamic Junior High School of Rumpun Muslim Jatisrono and the supporting and inhibiting factors in cultivating religious character in the Islamic Rumpun Muslim Jatisrono Middle School. This research is a qualitative research using field studies at the Islamic Junior High School Rumpun Muslim Jatisrono. Data collection techniques through interviews and documentation from various school elements. And the analysis carried out by deductive method departs from general events and then reduces it to specific parts. From the results of the study it can be concluded that the cultivation of religious character through religious activities at the Islamic Junior High School Rumpun Muslim Jatisrono is carried out by providing advice and motivation related to religious character, habituation of religious activities, providing good examples by teachers, giving rewards and punishments so that students obey the rules, and evaluation of every activity of the Gunan increases the cultivation of religious character to the maximum. The supporting factors of the inculcation of religious character in the Jatisrono Muslim Rumpun Junior High School are the role of parents, support from teachers, and infrastructure. While the inhibiting factors for the cultivation of religious character are due to the influence of the outside school environment, bad habits brought by students from elementary schools, then educators who are not maximal in giving examples, and institutions that are constrained by official policies such as additional hours of religious activities which according to him are lacking, and if a viral pandemic is causing religious activities to be less than optimal
