Abstract

Transmission is a powertrain component that functions to regulate movement speed, torque, and direction so that the unit or machine can move forward or backward. This analysis aims to determine the part that is damaged, the cause of the damage, and steps to repair the transmission system on the New Holland T7 tractor. .150. The procedures for the inspection are carried out by collecting data units, damage reports, diagnosing damage to the transmission system, disassembly, replacement of parts, assembly, and recondition tests. The result of the examination shows that noise when the unit is moving speed is caused by a damaged transmission component. Faulty parts of transmission i.e. worn forward reverse gear cause noise. Then the worn forward reverse gear rubs against each other causing the speed shift is not smooth or shock and there are scratches on the forward reverse gear. To perform repair steps on a transmission system, namely by replacing damaged components, reassembling components and reconditioning tests according to the shop manual transmission maintenance.
