Abstract

The textile factory in Laban Village is one of the industries that produces waste. The resulting waste will become an environmental environment, because it dumps the waste into the river without treatment. The result will be a decrease in air quality. This study aims to (1) analyze the suitability of the Samin River water quality based on Indonesian Government Regulation No. 20 of 2001 concerning water quality management and water pollution control for class II (water recreation facilities, fish farming, animal husbandry), III (fish farming, animal husbandry, fish cultivation, animal husbandry), III (fish farming, animal husbandry, irrigating cultivation), IV (irrigating crops). (2) determining the time for industrial self-purification of the Samin River. The method in this study used a survey and sampling with purposive sampling. The results obtained were (1) the suitability of river water quality with BOD parameters according to class III, IV quality standards at point 1 Laban Village and point 5 Gadingan Village. As for class IV, it is at point 4 in Laban Village. Then, not according to class II, III and IV are at point 2, 3 in Laban Village. DO parameters according to class II, III, IV quality standards are at points 1, 4 in Laban Village and 5 in Gadingan Village. Furthermore, according to class III, IV are at points 2 and 3 in Laban Village. PB parameters that do not meet the class II and III quality standards are at location points 1 to 5. However, the location points meet class IV. Cu parameters that meet the class II, III and IV quality standards are at point 1 in Laban Village. Then, those who meet according to class IV are at point 4, 5 and at point 2, 3 do not meet the quality standards for the existing class. Temperature and pH parameters are in accordance with the class II, III and IV quality standards. (2) There are three zones for self-purification of the Samin River, namely the degradation zone which is a source of waste, the recovery zone at a distance of 1,618 meters which is a process of waste and a clean water zone at a distance of 3,404 meters which is a zone with normal air quality.
