Abstract
This study aims to identify the number of demand for goods in the warehouse with forecasting so that it can find out the inventory of goods in the Carfix WR Supratman warehouse can enter into the warehouse rack or not, and provide design proposals for improvements to the layout of the new Carfix WR Supratman workshop uses an Activity Relationship Chart. This study provides a proposal in the form of a new warehouse layout repair design for the Carfix WR Supratman workshop. This research was conducted at Carfix W.R Supratman Workshop, Semarang. Carfix W.R Supratman's warehouse currently has a size of 5.5 m x 4.3 m with a total of 343 items. A total of 343 items can be grouped into 63 based on the type and category of Fast Moving, Slow Moving and Non Moving. The results of the distance calculation can be concluded that the initial warehouse distance is 19,243 cm, while the proposed warehouse distance is 14,873 cm. This means that the proposed warehouse distance has a decrease of 4,370 cm or 43.70 m with the priority of placing the goods, namely fast moving goods on level 2 and 3 racks, slow moving goods on level 3 racks and non moving goods on level 3 and 4 racks. Based on the calculation and identification of goods with Simple Average forecasting, 3-Single Moving Average and 3- Double Moving Average and layout improvements using an Activity Relationship Chart, it can be seen that the goods can fully enter the warehouse shelf based on forecasting results for the next 3 months, namely months October, November and December 2020.
