Abstract
The objectives of this study are: (1) To determine the role of principal in improving teacher performance in the online learning process in public elementary schools Kenokorejo 04. (2) To determine the inhibiting factors for the role of head leadership schools in improving teacher performance. (3) To know solutions to overcome obstacles that occur. The type of research with qualitative research methods data collection throught interviews, observation and documentation of analysis techniques data using data data collection, data reduction, data display, and verification and confirmation of conclusions. The result of the study concluded: 1) The role of the head schools in improving teacher performance in the online learning process has been carried out well, despite some obstacles. 2) Teacher performance have implemented three indicators namely personality and dedication, such a process professional development, outcomes such as teaching ability. 3) Inhibiting factors The teacher's lack of expertise in the use of internet media for online learning, students who do not have Androids, and lack of parental attention. 4). The solution is that the teacher is obliged to attend training, coaching, and socialization to student guardians and teacher visits to students' homes.
