Abstract

Solid waste is an important issue in urban / regional environmental problems which is in line with the development of population and increasing population activities. The population growth rate is one of the main factors in increasing the amount of waste volume in the environment. The activity of a household waste management in an urban area will involve many stakeholders, so an appropriate and systematic management is needed. This study aims to identify the risk supply chain of household waste in the city of Surakarta and mitigate the risk of the household waste supply chain. This research uses the HOR (House of Risk) method. The HOR (House of Risk) method is divided into 2 phases. In the HOR phase 1 in this study, 35 risk events and 45 risk agents were obtained from all entities involved in managing household waste in the city of Surakarta. Through ARP value data and pareto diagrams, 23 dominant risk agents were obtained. In the HOR phase 19 mitigation strategies (preventive actions) were used to overcome 23 dominant risk agents. From the calculation of the total ARP of each waste management entity in Surakarta, it is known that the party with the most impact is the conventional TPS with a total ARP value of 7635.
