Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the sociohistorical background of the author of the novel Tuk Liye Pukat Serial Anak Mamak. (2) describing the elements that built the Tuk Liye children's serial Tukat Serial novel. (3) describe the moral aspects in the novel Pukat Serial Anak Mamak by Tere Liye. (4) describes the implementation of research results in the study of literature in high school. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data sources obtained from the novel Tuk Liye Pukat Serial Anak Mamak by 344 pages. Data collection techniques using library techniques, refer to the technique and note. Data analysis techniques in this study were carried out using the dialectical method. The results of this study are: (1) the plot used by Tere Liye in the novel Tukat Serial Anak Mamak is progressive. The figures presented in this novel are Pukat, Burlian, Mamak Nur, Mr. Syahdan, Mr. Bin, Mrs. Ahmad, Sipahutar, Raju, Wak Yati, Grandma Kiba, Saleha, and Mang Dullah. The setting in this novel is Sumatra, Jakarta and Amsterdam. The time setting in this novel occurred in 1962-1997. The social setting in this novel is the simple social setting of family life. Analysis of moral aspects in the Pulat Serial Anak Mamak novel by using a sociological approach to literature found (1) religious moral aspects in the form of disgraceful morals shown by Pukat who hated his Mamak, quarreled, and gossiped. (2) moral aspects of the family in the form of (a) filial piety to parents, shown by the attitude of Pukat and Nek Kiba who listened to the advice of their parents. (b) responsibility towards duties and family, shown by the attitude of Pukat and Mr Syahdan. (3) the moral aspects of individuals in the form of honesty, shown by the honest Pukat attitude when following the test, honest attitude is also shown by the attitude of Nek Kiba who spoke honestly to grandfather
