Abstract

Breastmilk (ASI) is an ideal source of nutrition with a balanced composition and tailored to the needs of the baby's growth and development. United Nations Children's Fun (UNICEF) and the World Health Organization (WHO) recommend exclusive breastfeeding, that is, not giving babies other foods and drinks breast milk from birth to six months. By giving exclusive breastfeeding until the baby is six months old, it will ensure the optimal development of the potential for children's intelligence. According to the strategic plan data in 2015, the percentage of babies who were exclusively breastfed in Indonesia was 39%, so nationally the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding for babies less than six months was 55.7%. This obstacle is due to the lack of knowledge of mothers, the attitude of mothers who do not pay attention to exclusive breastfeeding, lack of support from the environment and health workers, and the rampant promotion of formula milk for babies. This study aims to examine the literature on the relationship between knowledge and attitudes with exclusive breastfeeding. This research method is a Journal Review, by analyzing several studies regarding knowledge and attitudes with exclusive breastfeeding. source of journal searches using the Google Scholar database with the keywords Knowledge, Attitude, Exclusive Breastfeeding with a cross sectional research design in the period 2018-2020 with the coverage of the Central Java region. The research design used was cross sectional. The population of mothers who have babies aged 0-24 months. The results are based on journal reviews, namely that most mothers have low knowledge and do not exclusively breastfeed, while in the attitude relationship, mothers who have negative attitudes tend not to exclusively breastfeed. Socialization and support from the closest people, health workers, and all related parties are needed so that exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months is achieved.
