Abstract
In development need a lot of resources, one of them is cement. One of the cement materials is limestone. The industries need to wise in utilizing cement, one of them with processing waste concrete into paving block. But, one of the problem of making a paving block factory is expensive production machine. Then, need to do a reach to know the quality of paving block who utilization waste concrete by using variations of press load and using a cement : sand ratio of 1 : 5 to get optimal results although used a method of pressure moments and a hammer. The results of compressive strength testing showed that use waste concrete 10 % on paving block with load 600 kg plus 10 collision has an average compressive strength of 10,611 Mpa. And form absorbtion testing showed that paving block without waste concrete with load 600 Kg plus 10 collision has optimum absorbtion of 11,537 %. Based on SNI 03-0691-1996, compressive strength of paving block in this research including a class D with minimum compressive strength 8,5 Mpa.
