Abstract
A transformer is a device that uses the principle of magnetic-induction work simply, reliably, and efficiently, which will change the alternating voltage from one level to another. Transformers have an important role in the production and distribution of electrical energy. The pattern of loading that is served by the Wonogiri Hydroelectric Power Plant is fluctuating, because the demand for electricity is intended for the household sector. This fluctuating load will cause losses on the transformer. If the transformer is given an electric energy source, it will cause copper losses, core losses. Leakage losses are a source of heat generation and can trigger a rise in temperature in the coil and transformer oil. Power transformer performance is determined through parameters losses that occur in the transformer. If the loss at the iron point can cause excessive heat and vibration on the transformer, causing the transformer efficiency to be reduced. Keywords: load , transformer, efficiency,
