Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the understanding and mastery of teachers in implementing joint reading, independent reading, and low-grade guided reading programs at SD Negeri 01 Gedongan Colomadu Karanganyar. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. Retrieval of data in this study using interview questions and documentation. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The subjects in this study were class I teachers, class II teachers, and class III teachers at SD Negeri 01 Gedongan, Colomadu, Karanganyar. The results of this study indicate that the teacher has not fully understood the joint reading, guided reading, and independent reading programs implemented in schools. Teachers' mastery of implementing joint reading and guided reading programs is also lacking. This is because the teacher does not fully understand the concept and plan this reading program carefully
