Abstract

This study uses a kind of qualitative research that aims to improve describing the structure and values of Islamic education in poetry as the relevance of Indonesian teaching materials in junior high schools. The findings offered in this study are those that are relevant to the values of Islamic education in Opick's album Istighfar poetry as teaching material for Indonesian subjects in junior high school. Obtaining data obtained by collecting data from various literatures such as books, articles, journals, e-books, previous research reports and the internet to find data about Opick, Opick religious poems, and Islamic educational values contained in the poems, and the relevance of poetry as teaching material in junior high school. The analyzed data are all the poetical titles in Opick's Istighfar Album. The data analysis technique used in this study is an interactive model analysis developed by Miles and Huberman. The results of this study provide the values of Islamic education in the poems of the Istighfar Album by Opick in general are about aqeedah, morals, and worship relating to oneself to Allah SWT. These values can influence students as well as readers of this study in determining a better personality with religious law. In addition, the poems of the Istighfar Album by Opick can be made as Indonesian teaching material in SMP in KD 3.14. Examining the structure and language of poetry (poetry, poetry, and local folk poetry forms) that are read and heard and KD 4.13. Keep the contents of folk poetry (rhymes, poems, and forms of local folk poetry) presented in written and oral form with the approval of Opick's album Istighfar. That way it can be interpreted that the poetry of the Istighfar Opick Album is relevant to teaching materials in Indonesian subjects in junior high school.
