Abstract

Cerebral Palsy is the most pediatric case in the world where there is a neurological disturbance in the central nervous system which eventually results in paralysis in patients with paralysis in one limb, half the torso, or all limbs. Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy is the most common type of Cerebral Palsy in this case, with a percentage of 80% of all Cerebral Palsy cases. Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy is a type of Cerebral Palsy in which hypertonic occurs in the neuromuscular mobility of the lower limb without affecting the upper limb or there is only spasticity in the lower limb. In children with Cerebral Palsy, there are many disorders that occur, including impaired coordination in the process of growth and development. One of the therapeutic methods in Cerebral Palsy children, namely Standing Frame Exercise or standing order, is a strategy for postural management in Cerebral Palsy patients with criteria in the form of rigid frames and facilitated tables to facilitate the therapeutic process when Cerebral Palsy children are given Standing Frame Exercise. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of Standing Frame Exercise on coordination in Cerebral Palsy children. The method used in this study is Quasi Experimental Design with a research design that is Pretest-Posttest with Control Group Design. In this research design there are 2 groups: the control group and the treatment group with a sample of 12 respondents. For the control group respondents were not given a Standing Frame Exercise. Then the treatment group is given treatment by giving Standing Frame Exercise. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. In this study the results obtained from the Paired Sample T-Test by conducting pretest and posttest using COMPS-2 measurements (Clinical Observations of Motor and Postural Skills-2) on the provision of Standing Frame Exercise obtained the value of increased coordination with a score of p value 0,000 in the treatment group, and for the control group with a p value of 0.363. Then obtained the results of differences in the value of the treatment group and control group from the Independent Sample T-Test with a p value of 0.00 where the p value of > 0.05. The conclusion of this study is that there is an influence on the provision of Standing Frame Exercise on the coordination of Cerebral Palsy children conducted at the Surakarta Disability Child Development Foundation (YPAC).
