Abstract

The potential zakat on the funds owned by Indonesia is quite large but its efforts to optimize the potential is still numbered less so that than the potential that reaches Rp. 270 trillion can only be optimized 2% only. It is certainly a great task for the Zakat Management Agency to further strengthen in managing and maximize its distribution efforts so that it can have a good impact on improving the welfare of the wider community. Research with the purpose of describing the optimization of funds distribution of zakat through the Economic Empowerment Program of the people conducted by LAZNAS Daarut Tauhid Peduli Solo so that it can be known supporting and inhibiting factors in the optimization efforts of the feed. This type of research is included in field research, using descriptive-qualitative research methods. Data collection using observation methods, interviews and documentation as well as in the analysis with inductive methods. Analysis results explained that in the effort to optimize zakat funds by LAZNAS Daarut Tauhid Peduli Solo is done by maximizing the empowerment program through the provision of business capital with a revolving system of funds so that the welfare of the mustahiq can be empowered and with intensive mentoring and building programs not only in terms of physical but also spiritual, the enthusiasm of the beneficiaries became a major factor in supporting the optimal distribution of zakat funds through empowerment programs.
