Abstract

Planning and designing regional development becomes very important as a device for controlling urban development as controlling regional development, product development planning is important to provide guidelines in accordance with regional requirements. The problem of slums is a major urban development issue that is quite polemic, as in the Java Sea Coast region. Increased industrial activity leads to slums which causes a high population density. Natural conditions are clearly changing, the environment is increasingly damaged, causing floods or tidal floods due to land subsidence. Government efforts continued, but slum settlement planning never ended. The relationship between humans and nature in order to be interconnected through planning and design with the concept of humanism architecture to balance between humans and nature. The discussion method used is qualitative-descriptive using primary data from field observations and secondary data from literature approvals. From the results of the analysis and concept of the results obtained in the slum area of the fishing village of Tambak Lorok, which are dwellings or floating houses supported by facilities and infrastructure, such as the construction of road infrastructure and community center. Proposed design is a design with the concept of Humanism Architecture using participatory methods as one of the efforts to alleviate slums to increase human awareness of their needs while maintaining and improving their habitat Keywords: floating houses, humanism architecture, slums, Tambak Lorok Semarang.
