Abstract
Cervical cancer is cancer that causes the death of the third woman in the world. Cancer patients receive more than one drug so that they are more at risk of experiencing drug related problems (DRPs). This research was conducted to determine the incidence of DRPs and risk factors for DRPs. This study was an observational study with a cross section research design. Data collection was carried out prospectively through tracking medical records and interviews with patients in the inpatient ward of Dr. Moewardi Regional Hospital. The inclusion criteria in this study were patients diagnosed with cervical cancer who underwent chemotherapy, and patient’s age > 18 years. Analysis of DRPs based on PCNE V8.02 2017. Data were then analyzed using Chi-Square to determine the relationship of risk factors (age, stage cancer, type of regimen chemotherapy, number of medications, comorbidity) sswith the incidence of DRPs. DRPs found in 98 patients were adverse drug reactions (ADRs) (93.85%), potential interactions (60.88%), untreated indications or symptoms (13.26%), too low a dose (2.38% ), and the dose is too high (1.71%). The most common ADR was nausea (85.71%), vomiting (51.02%), alopecia (65.31%), and peripheral neuropathy (48.97%). The most potential potential interactions were cisplatin with dexamethasone (16.67%) and interactions between ondasentron and dexamethasone (16.67%). Risk factor analysis showed no association between age, cancer stage, type of chemotherapy, number of drugs, and comorbidities with the incidence of DRPs, which was marked by p> 0.05.
