Abstract
YABIM Integrated School is one of the educational innovations for marginalized communities in Depok that free of charge. YABIM Integrated School was established on October 28 2000. Institutions concerned with education, volunteers, community participation, government, and independent business units became supporters in facilitating infrastructure facilities at the YABIM Integrated School. Container material is used as a classroom without a desk and chair. Lighting, acceleration and acoustics do not meet SNI standards. The conditions become the background for redesign of YABIM Integrated School to comply with the Minister of National Education Regulation No. 24 of 2007, SNI 03-6197-2000 concerning Energy Conservation in Lighting Systems, SNI T14-1993-03 concerning Thermal Comfort and SNI 03-6386-2000 standards concerning Sound Level Specifications and Buzzing Time. The eco friendly building is applied in the planning for redesign of YABIM Integrated School to be an effective school for the learning process and does not have a negative impact on the natural environment. Eco friendly buildings are applied through optimization of natural lighting, natural ventilation, energy efficiency and natural materials coconut fiber.
