Abstract

Nowadays, sharia-based tourism trends have become a new phenomenon in the development of tourism in various parts of the world. The needs of tourists about sharia tourism are no longer limited to the tomb pilgrimage or other religious tourism. Tourism has penetrated various sectors ranging from travel services, hotels, restaurants, and many more that are in demand by domestic and foreign tourists. Indonesia is a country that has the largest Muslim population in the world so it is very conducive in welcoming the arrival of Muslim tourists. One area that claims to have implemented halal tourism is Jepara Regency. Jepara Regency has quite diverse tourism potential. This causes the tourism sector to develop rapidly. Another condition is that east of Jepara in the form of mountainous regions shows that Jepara has abundant potential. Not only the potential of nature but the potential for religious tourism, arts and culture, industry, culinary, and tourist villages in Jepara district. Therefore appropriate accommodation is needed to meet the halal tourism facilities. One of the accommodations chosen is the Sharia Resort Hotel located on Bandengan Beach in Jepara. Bandengan Beach is the most popular beach in Jepara, so it is expected to be a pioneer of halal tourism accommodation and followed by other tourism objects. The concept of this resort hotel is to incorporate elements of Islamic architecture into its design.
