Abstract
The use of liquid organic fertilizer in hydroponic cultivation can be used as an alternative to suppress the use of inorganic fertilizers. One of the organic materials that can be utilized in making fertilizer is banana stems because they contain important elements needed by plants such as nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of organic liquid fertilizer of banana stems and AB mix to the growth of green lettuce and red lettuce hydroponically. This research was conducted in Jatisari RT 02 / RW 01, Kradenan, Trucuk, Klaten in February - August 2020. This research is an experimental research with quantitative methods. The design of this study used a factorial design that is a completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors. The first factor was lettuce variety, S1 = green lettuce and S2 = red lettuce, the second factor was POC concentration of banana stems, P0 = AB mix 100% (control), P1 = POC 15% + AB mix 85%, P2 = POC 40% + AB mix 60%, and P3 = POC 65% + AB mix 35%. The results showed that the administration of 40% banana stem POC + 60% AB mix significantly affected the fresh weight and dry weight of lettuce but did not significantly affect the height of lettuce and number of lettuce leaves.
