Abstract

Surakarta occupies as MICE City in the 8th position at the national level making the increasing needs of five-star hotels. It is necessary to add a five-star hotel, according to the recommendation of the Head of the One-Stop Integrated Investment and Services Office (DPMPTSP) which opens investors in four and five-star hotels. Javanese Hotel concept design and design in Surakarta With the Contemporary Javanese Architecture Approach can be interpreted as planning and designing an accommodation accommodation with Javanese traditional nuances by implementing the Javanese architecture combination with an up-to-date architectural style. Contemporary Javanese architecture is used as a harmonization of a modernity with the city of Surakarta which is rich in culture. Based on the Surakarta City RTRW the planning and design of the Javanese Hotel in Surakarta occupies the SPK IV, Mojosongo Village which is also the center of the region of SPK IV. Crossed by Surakarta North Ring Road makes the site suitable for planning and designing Javanese Hotels in Surakarta. In general, site and surrounding conditions support to design a hotel. Site area which reaches more than 7.7 ha makes the program space can be optimally accommodated. Arrangement of space according to hierarchy that adapts the concept of Javanese architecture. The use of modern materials to be more efficient in workmanship and maintenance is the application of contemporary architecture. It is expected that with the Javanese concept and design this hotel can make Surakarta City a MICE city that has complete facilities and increases tourist visits so as to increase the economic rate in the SUBOSUKAWONOSRATEN Regional Cooperation Area (Sukoharjo, Boyolali, Surakarta, Wonogiri, Sragen, Klaten).
