Abstract
Vector control can be done by breaking the life cycle of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes by eradicating larvae using larvaside. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of avocado leaf extract and Pamelo orange peel extract as a natural larvaside. On the mortality of Aedes aegypti larvae. This research method uses an experiment with a complete randomized design (CRD) of two factors. The first factor is the ratio of extract (P1 = avocado leaf extract: Pamelo orange peel (25%: 75%), P2 = avocado leaf extract: Pamelo orange peel (50%: 50%), P3 = avocado leaf extract: Pamelo orange peel (Peel) 75%: 25%)) and the second factor is the combination of ethanol (E1 = Ethanol 60%, E2 = Ethanol 70%) with two replications. Observation data were analyzed using a kruskal wallis test followed by a probit test to prove LC50. Based on the results that the most effective combination of killing larvae is P1.E1 with an average rating on the kruskal wallis test of 9.75 and an LC50 value of 590.58 ppm (0.059%). So it was concluded from this research that avocado leaves and Pamelo orange peel have compounds that can eradicate larvae. Larvicide compounds in Pamelo orange peel are more influential compared to compounds found in avocado leaves.
