Abstract
PT. Rakabu Sejahtera is a furniture industry in Sragen that produces barecores for domestic needs and exports to several countries. Barecore is a semi-finished product consisting of small pieces of wood of a certain size that are glued together into a layer for the middle part of the plywood. Production activities carried out at PT. Rakabu still uses manual methods, resulting in unnatural work postures and complaints about muscles (MSDs). Barecore production activities consist of preparation, surface planner, sorting, cutting, gluing, structuring, pressing and squeezing. The purpose of this study is to identify ergonomic risk factors using the WERA method, identify work postures and assess work postures using the NERPA method and provide suggestions for improvement regarding the highest risk of work stations observed based on the WERA and NERPA methods. The method used in this research is WERA (Work Ergonomic Risk Assessment) and NERPA (Novel Ergonomic Postural Assessment) to determine the level of ergonomic risk of work posture from activities undertaken by workers. Preliminary data in this study used the Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire to determine worker complaints. The results of the final score calculation from 8 work stations with the WERA method get a medium score. Whereas with the NERPA method there are 3 work stations with a high level of risk, namely preparation, surface planner and cutting. Proposed proposals in the form of a work table procurement simulation, changes in the dimensions of the table size and improvement of work activities at work stations with high score levels.
