Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze learning models and the achievement of mastery of Arabic and English. This research method uses descriptive qualitative type. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. The data of this studyare all data from grade 1 to grade 6 including the lesson plan and list of values, as well as information obtained from informants who are considered to know the most detailed and clear information about the research focus under study. This data is processed using analytical techniques with steps of data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The validty of the data uses source triangulation and technique triangulation. The result showed that: 1) Arabic and English language learning model in Bilingual Muhammadiyah 1 Purwodadi elementary school namely class 1-V using intergrated skills learning model (listening, imitating, reading, assigning, modelling, coloring) for English subjects, class VI using intergrated skills learning model (listening, imitating, reading, assigning, modelling, coloring) for English subjects, class IV uses discovery learning models for Arabic subjects, and class V uses inquiry learning models for Arabic subjects. 2) Achievement of students in mastering Arabic and English seen from the average UAS scores obtained by each class looks very maximal. However, based on the interviews obtained, students still have difficulty in mastering Arabic and English vocabulary. As for the assessment conducted by the teacher includes an assessment of English and Arabic vocabulary, working on the questions provided, and speaking in English and Arabic. The solution made by the teacher to overcome the difficulties of students in English and Arabic vocabulary is by repeating the vocabulary that was taught yesterday, playing games, displaying audio visuals and making songs / songs related to the subject matter being taught.
