Abstract
Based on the results of the internship at PT. PLN (Persero) Unit Layanan Pelanggan (ULP) Karanganyar, frequent blackouts have resulted in many complaints from customers. This is due to the inaccuracy predicted by PLN with the situation on the ground. Measuring the reliability of a system can be stated by SAIFI (System Average Interruption Frequency Index) and SAIDI (System Average Interruption Duration Index). The purpose of this study was to analyze the reliability of the electric power distribution system at PT. PLN (Persero) ULP Karanganyar according to the SAIDI and SAIFI reliability indexes using distribution disruption data that occurred during 2019. The steps taken were to collect blackout data, and customer data obtained at PT. PLN (Persero) ULP Karanganyar. After calculating and comparing the SAIFI and SAIDI indexes, each feeder in Karanganyar ULP can be said to be reliable according to the SPLN 68-2: 1986 standard because the value is still below the maximum limit. According to IEEE std 1366 - 2003, only PLR.14 feeders are said to be less reliable because the SAIFI value exceeds the limits specified by IEEE of 1,800 times / customer / year. Based on IEEE standard for SAIDI, feeders are said to be less reliable because the value exceeds the standard, namely PLR.12 of 2,590 hours / customer / year and PLR.14 of 5,221 hours / customer / year. Then according to the WCS (World Class Service) and WCC (World Class Company) reliability index standards namely PT. PLN (Persero) as a world class company, the total value of SAIDI and SAIFI on the Karanganyar ULP feeder is said to be lacking because the value exceeds the maximum limit set of 3 hours / customer and 1,666 hours / customer.
