Abstract

Food that is safe, quality, nutritious, and adequately available is the main prerequisite that must be met in an effort to implement a food system that can provide legal protection for the interests of people's health. However, this goal may not have been achieved because among food consumers there is still often a controversy regarding the use of food additives in the food product industry in packaging and public knowledge is still inadequate to be able to choose and use the right, correct and safe products. The purpose of this study is to find out how to control and guide the impact of consuming food products in packaging for health. The method used is empirical juridicial method, which is to collect information in the field aimed at the application of law. The results of this study are that in order to keep healthy packaged food products conducting supervision and guidance by checking expired packaged food products, packaged food products that have experienced damage to packaging, paying attention to the marketing authorization from the distribution permit on foreign / imported products, paying attention to the composition of the product food packaging. To consume packaged food products, please pay attention to the recommended nutritional value (nutrition fact) and important information about the prohibition of consuming packaged food products that contain artificial sweeteners.
