Abstract

Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) is a common condition of heart disease in adult individuals that correlates with angina, heart failure, arrhythmias, acute myocardial infarction (IMA), and sudden cardiac death. The inability to control risk factors through self-care efforts will increase the risk of Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS). This study aims to identify the picture of self-care in risk groups for Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) in Drono Village, Ngawen District, Klaten Regency. This type of research is a quantitative study with a descriptive design using a cross-sectional approach with 118 respondents taken by total sampling technique. This study uses a research instrument in the form of a self-care questionnaire of coronary heart disease inventory (SC-CHDI). Data processing techniques using descriptive frequency univariate test techniques. The results of this study were the majority of respondents aged 46-65 years, female sex, high school educated and the highest trigger was hypertension. The dominant risk factors that emerge are hypertension, diabetes mellitus, obesity, smoking, and hypercholesterolemia. Self-care efforts in the risk group for Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) in Drono Village, Ngawen District, Klaten Regency, on average have a sufficient attitude in self-care efforts.
