Abstract

The purpose of this study is (1) Describes poetry structure to Asmaradana's poem by Goenawan Mohamad. (2) Describe the use of images (imagery) on a collection of poems Asmaradana works Goenawan Mohamad. (3) Describes the meaning of images on Asmaradana's rhyme collection by Gonawan Mohamad. (4) Describe the implementation of the imagery on Asmaradana's poem by Goenawan Mohamad as an Indonesian language learning material in high school. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The object studied in this research is the poem contained in Asmaradana's poem collection by Goenawan Mohamad. Sources of data in this study is a collection of poems Asmaradana works Goenawan Mohamad. Data collection techniques in this study using library techniques, refer to, and record. Data analysis technique used in this research is using hermeneutic technique. The results of this study are (1) the imagery used in Asmaradana's poems by Goenawan Mohamad's works are visual imagery, auditory imagery, motion imagery, touch images, olfactory imagery, tasting imagery, and intellectual imagery. (2) the structure of poetry in this study uses themes, taste, tone, and message. (3) the meaning contained from this study using sensory devices such as eyes, nose, ears, and tongue. (4) the implementation of Asmaradana collection of poems by Goenawan Mohamad can be implemented in the learning of Indonesian class X second semester.
