Abstract

This study aims to determine how the application of regulations on Legal Aid Institutions based on Law Number 16 Year 2011. How is the role of Legal Aid Institutions in solving civil disputes. The research method used is empirical juridical with the type of analytical research. The data source consists of primary data, which are the results of interviews and secondary data, namely primary and secondary legal data. Data collection methods by observation and interview were then analyzed qualitatively. From the results of the study showed that with the Act No. 16 of 2011 which was then followed up with the existence of several related institutions. the provision of legal aid in Indonesia has been going well, plus there is direct supervision so that communities specifically targeted by Law No. 16 of 2011 can access the legal assistance free of charge. The role of LBH in the process of settling civil cases is based on the legal services they provide, in civil litigation, where the judge pursues formal truth so that it is very important that the LBH function as a companion of his law blind client to pass each court process with the correct procedures, because in the case civil initiative filed a lawsuit coming from the parties concerned who feel their rights are violated or harmed by others.
