Abstract

ABSTRACT Learning to read Al-Qur’an includes practices of worship that get a double reward. However, even though reading the Qur’an is practiced in practice there are still many Muslims who cannot read the Qur’ans. No Exception students at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta. Some of the students have low Qur’an reading ability, and some students still cannot read Qur’an, the Muhammadiyah 3 Vocational School in Surakarta, especially the Islamic Education Teacher at the school applies the thsaqifa method. Therefore the authors are interested in making research on the implementation of thsaqifa method to improve the ability to read the Qur’an for class XI students. The problems examined in this study are: How is the implementation of the thsaqifa method to improve the ability to read Al-Qur’an for grade XI students and whether the use of the thsaqifa method can improve the ability to read Al-Qur’an for grade XI students at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta. This study aims to describe the process of implementing the thsaqifa method to improve the ability to read Al-Qur’an for Class XI students and to describe the ability to read Al-Qur’an to improve reading skills for students of class at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta. This research is a qualitative study using a type of field research. The method used to collect data is the method of interview, observation and documentation. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the implementation of reading Al-Qur'an with the thsaqifa method is done by the teacher face to face per person, one student comes forward to read the thsaqifa method book, then the other students write Al-Qur'an verses. The implementation of the thaqifa method to improve the ability to read Al-Qur'an for students of class XI at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 can improve the ability to read the Qur'an because students can read the Al-Qur'an fluently, fluently, correctly according to the recitation and meaning of the letters and can reach kkm 70. The implementation of the thaqifa method in the school has strengths and weaknesses, the strengths include complete taught material and sequential taught material. While the weakness is that the material used is too dense, the teacher's ability to teach is not yet average and the time is less effective due to the change in class hours.
