Abstract
This study aims to describe: 1) the effect of the perception of the use of learning media on the learning achievements of students of Muhammadiyah high schools in Banjarsari Surakarta. 2) the effect of perception of learning motivation on student achievement in Muhammadiyah high schools in Banjarsari Surakarta. 3) the effect of perceptions of learning media and learning motivation on student achievement in Muhammadiyah high schools in Banjarsari Surakarta. The research method uses quantitative with survey design. The population in this study were all Muhammadiyah high school students in Banjarsari Surakarta as many as 373 students with a sample of 120 students. The results of the path analysis have the equation: Z = 0.552X + 0.96 and Y = 0.333Z + 0.414X + 0.90 with a significance value of 0,000. The equation explains that there is an influence of the use of instructional media that has a positive and significant effect directly on learning achievement and an indirect effect through learning motivation as a mediating variable. The results of the analysis and discussion obtained the value of the direct effect of 0.333 and the value of the indirect effect of (0.530 x 0.414) = 0.219. The total value of the use of instructional media directly or indirectly is 0.552. Obtained e1 error value of 0.96 and e2 of 0.90, indicating that the higher the use of learning media through learning motivation, the higher the learning achievement achieved by students.
